In order to improve the academic environment, promote the academic exchanges on campus, and present research progress and achievements of doctoral and master students, on December 17, 2019, the College of Animal Science, together with the Science and Technology Office of the West Campus General Office and the Agriculture Library of Jilin University, jointly held the “2019 Postgraduate Academic Poster Show of the College of Animal Science” in the lobby on the first floor of the Agriculture Library of Jilin University. The show was organized by the Graduate Student Union of College of Animal Science.

This show received positive responses and was participated by a vast number of teachers and students of the College. A total of 96 posters designed and produced by graduate students of the College were involved in the show of academic achievements. The show owed to the great efforts of college leaders, Office of Graduate Studies and Research, and Graduate Student Union in planning, design and organization process, and was highly valued by tutors who personally supervised, instructed and helped graduate students in designing posters and enriching their contents, which ensured the quality and level of those posters, laying a good foundation for the success of this poster show. During the poster show, college leaders, academic committee experts, graduate tutors, teachers and special guests visited the site and vote for them. The show was full of relaxed and warm atmosphere, active exchanges and numerous audience. According to statistics, 69.3% of graduate students came to the site to learn from and discuss with teachers and other students. 51 teachers and special guests participated in the voting of the excellent posters, and gave thumbs-up to excellent posters.

In the end, according to the voting results and the activity selection rules, the academic posters of 7 students including doctoral students Liu Chengjun and Han Dongxu, master students Gao Junlei, Zhang Zhe, Peng Yanxia, Zhao Dehua, and Liu Zhenying won the special awards; the academic posters of a total of 20 students including doctoral students Luo Dan, Yuan Hongming and Zhao Zijiao, master students Ouyang Ting, Yao Wenbo, and Wang Changjiang, won the excellence awards.

The successful holding of this show has promoted the academic exchanges between the College and JLU, strengthened the communication and cross-innovation, improved the academic environment, demonstrated the academic style and strength of the doctoral and master students of the college, enhanced the academic accomplishment of the graduate students, and driven the further improvement of the quality of graduate training. The show has been unanimously recognized by the teachers and students of the College, and highly praised by the Science and Technology Office of the West Campus General Office and all departments on campus, and culminated in success.
